Since 2015, Kai Brees has been creating exceptional custom furniture for homeowners across the Denver metro area through Blackwood Custom Furniture. What started as a passion for woodworking during home restoration projects in 2010 has evolved into a thriving business specializing in handcrafted pieces from reclaimed Colorado materials.
Self-taught through years of hands-on experience, Kai has crafted hundreds of custom pieces, from dining tables and outdoor furniture to his signature reclaimed beam console tables and epoxy river tables. Working solo from his dedicated workshop, he maintains complete control over quality while sourcing materials locally throughout Colorado.
Kai's approach is deeply personal and collaborative. He works closely with each client from initial consultation through design, construction, and delivery, sharing progress photos and gathering feedback to ensure every piece exceeds expectations.
